So the guy that works here, and I am assuming owns the place, is a bit... eccentric. He might come off as rude to some but I am certain he is not meaning to, it is just how he is. He is a nice guy and he really knows his stuff. He got me the exact adapter I needed for my GPU, and on Labor Day of all days. Also as a little bonus you can really tell this guy is passionate about computers, the store is like a little museum. Don't let his (David) succinctness discourage you from seeking help here. He may seem curt and rude over the phone, but in person he's incredibly friendly and spawns a good conversation (ask his about Zipf's law). He was prompt in aiding me solve my problem the way I intended and even offered me an additional solution in case my initial idea didn't work. Why's he still in business? Because he knows what he's doing. Dave's been working with computers for decades and there's no one better in southern California. He's a nice guy, too - if you're not a complete jerk to him, you'll get along great. If he's talking to you like you're a child, it's because he doesn't know you or have any idea what you know about computers. (Everyone _says_ they know what they're talking about - and maybe you really do - but most people don't. It's not the end of the world, and it's not personal.) Answer the questions. We have used them over the past 15+ years when ever we have a hardware problem we can't fix. They are reliable and they can always do the job. Not sure what everyone is grousing about.
